US Navy 1950s USS Acme Cap so I've hung it on
Description
so I've hung it on a leather lace and added a vintage key to make a perfect pendant
some light wear
and the modern printed t-shirt was born
This beautiful silver plated piece would have been made in Japan in 1948 and likely sold to a US serviceman stationed there
and when a rescue chopper approached it could be switched to orange to increase visibility and make it easier for the rescue team to spot
US Navy 1950s USS Acme Cap so I've hung it onWhilst its hard to date exactly, I believe this beauty of a cap would have been made in Japan in the late 1950s for an officer sailining on the USS Acme. This is a great example of a 50s Japanese made cap, with a wool outer, cotton lining, and coloured seam tape. Condition In beautiful condition. There is a little light fading to the wool, but largely very nice Size Fits around a modern 7 1 4 Approx 57cm inside the brim
